The Early Career Scholarship Award is an initiative by the International Test Commission (ITC) to recognize and support promising young scholars in the field of psychological and educational assessment from developing and emerging economies (https://www.intestcom.org/page/84). The award is aimed at three (3) individuals at the early stages of their careers, including graduate students and early career professionals working in low or middle-income countries. The scholarships are granted in a way to maximize the representativeness of countries from various global regions. The scholars receive some financial support ($4800 NZD) for travel expenses and accommodation, free conference registration, and free attendance of a maximum of two pre-conference workshops. 

This award is specially designed to facilitate the participation of the three scholarship recipients in the biennial ITC conference. In addition to participating in the ITC conference, scholars must engage in promoting the ITC in their home countries. This award serves as a gateway for young academics to expand their networks, enhance their skills, and make significant contributions to the field of psychological and educational assessment in a global context.

There are 2 separate processes to gain this scholarship:

1) You must submit your proposal for the ITC 2026 conference using the online submission portal no later than January 5, 2026 (https://www.itc2026auckland.com/submissions/).

2) No later than January 5, 2026, you must send the required scholarship documentation and application to the ECP scholarship committee (download here) care of Dr Felipe Valentini at valentini.felipe@gmail.com.
